Dicken Woods Candlelight Walk!

We just received word of the 5th Annual Midwinter Candlelight Walk through Dicken Woods, coming up on Tuesday the 3th of February! Here's the email from the Friends of the Dicken Woods:
Please join us for the 5th Annual Midwinter Candlelight Walk through Dicken Woods on Tuesday, February 3rd. Walking the Woods on a winter night, on candle-lit trails featuring the art work of Dicken Elementary School students is a real delight. You're sure to enjoy it.

The trails will be lit from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with luminaries made by Dicken students in their art classes.

On the 3rd, enter the main school doors (Dicken is at 2235 Runnymeade, 48103) and head straight down the hallway to the back door. Exit the back door and follow the lights around the eastern loop of the trails. Then, head back to the school for hot chocolate and cookies in the all purpose room.

The walk has been announced in the school newsletter and here on the FoDW mailing list. Many neighbors receive neither the newsletter or these emails, so please pass the word to anyone who you think would enjoy this. Over the years, more and more people have joined the walk, including parents, siblings, grandparents, neighbors and friends. Last year we had more than 300 friends and neighbors walk the trails!

The candle-lit walk will be beautiful with or without snow. There will be guides on the trails so no one will get lost. Please dress appropriate for a winter walk.

Should the weather be too extreme on the 3rd, our alternate date will be Monday February 9. We will send notice if the date changes.

We hope to see you there!
